The Messenger

Welcome to our guests!

  • It is our prayer that, amidst all the frenzy of Christmas preparations, God would grant you spiritual peace and refreshment through today’s worship.  If you have questions about St. Matthew, please stop by our Welcome Center.  We have free gifts there for children and adults.  Please feel free to check out anything that might interest you in this Messenger or on our website:  www.st-matthew.org
  • If you have questions about religion, you are invited to explore life in Jesus with us at St. Matthew!  Come check out the Christian world view, ask questions, and learn what Christians believe in the “Exploring Christianity” class, which will be offered on Sunday, April 19, from 2-5pm at the Walled Lake campus in room 305.  Child care is available upon request.  To register or for more information on this class, visit our web site or contact the church office at 248-624-7676.
  • For those who want to grow in their relationship with Jesus and become a member of St. Matthew, our four session Membership Class experience will be offered starting on Sunday, April 19, from 2-5pm at the Walled Lake campus in room 304.  To register or for more information on this class, visit our web site or contact the church office at 248-624-7676.

We are looking for Volunteers to assist with weekday Welcome Center coverage. This critical role is to provide coverage when we do not have regular staff scheduled, primarily every Friday (8:30a-12, and 12-3:30) and Tuesday (1:30-3:30). We also would like to have "backup" volunteers to cover on an as-needed basis for illnesses, etc. You may sign up for any frequency that works with your schedule. With our enhanced safety measures in place, the Welcome Center person unlocks the front door for guests, who include school and church families, our International Friends, and other guests.
